Banca Transilvania became the sole shareholder of Medicredit Leasing IFN SA, by purchasing the company's entire share package. The two companies have been business partners for a few years now, as in January 2007 BT became shareholder with a 38.89% participation in Medicredit Leasing IFN SA share capital, following the purchase and subscription of shares, and in October 2007 the bank increased its ownership to 57.39%.

Medicredit Leasing IFN SA is leader on the medical market in terms of leasing operations. Moreover, Medicredit is the first company specialized exclusively in medical equipment leasing. With regard to clients, Medicredit focused on average-sized and large companies within the private medical system. Medicredit Leasing IFN SA level of financing reached in 2009 Euro 17.6 million.

As part of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, Medicredit Leasing IFN SA will benefit from the entire support of the bank, in order to maintain the market leader position. The Board of Medicredit will also include three BT representatives. The bank's values, innovative spirit and approach will be adopted by the medical leasing company, as well. Furthermore, Medicredit Leasing IFN SA will undergo a re-branding process to adapt to Banca Transilvania's corporate identity. The headquarters will remain in Bucharest, but they will be relocated within Bucharest Regional Center, 43 ??os. Bucure??ti - Ploie??ti.
