Comunicat de presa 2015-02-26
Banca Transilvania has chosen A.T. Kearney to structure the integration process of Volksbank Romania. BT is currently in the phase of obtaining all necessary authorization from NBR and the Competition Council.
A.T. Kearney is a global management consulting firm that delivers immediate impact and growing advantage for its clients. The firm has been the trusted advisor on the most critical issues for leading institutions across industries and geographies for nearly 90 years.
Ömer Tetik, CEO, Banca Transilvania, said: "We are pleased to partner with A.T. Kearney in the most important and ambitious project of Banca Transilvania in 2015. For its success, were already formed mixed teams, with responsibilities in key areas, with people from BT, Volksbank Romania and experienced consultants from A.T. Kearney".
Stefan Marcu, Director, A.T. Kearney: "We are honored to be part of this important initiative of Banca Transilvania. For us, this collaboration is the result of banking experience and expertise gained over years, both in Romania and across the globe. A.T. Kearney already delegated a team to support BT in planning the integration on all key areas. We see this project as an opportunity to contribute to a sustainable development of the Romanian banking sector and to make this acquisition a best practice".
In December 2014, Banca Transilvania signed a firm commitment for the acquisition of 100% of Volksbank Romania. At the end of January 2015, BT has received a derogation from the Competition Council, as a result of its endeavor, to be involved in managing Volksbank's CHF loans. Based on this exemption, at the closing of the transaction, in about two months, Banca Transilvania will be able to deliver offers to Volksbank's customers who have CHF loans. Volksbank's integration in BancaTransilvania's structure will also begin at that time"
