This year, as well, Banca Transilvania takes part in the ZF Bankers Summit organized by Ziarul Financiar, in Bucharest, June 28-29. The topic of the 2016 edition is “How to grow in an extremely challenging market” shall be debated by the banks’ representatives and analysts in the context of the Romanian banking sector, focusing on its growth potentials, challenges, trends and the Brexit influence on the local market.
Omer Tetik, the CEO of Banca Transilvania has taken part in the first panel of the event, “Overview of the Romanian banking system”, comprising discussion topics related to the current banking system and its consolidation, and the monetary policy vs. the bank’s lending policy. Being asked about BT’s success, as a Romanian bank, Omer Tetik said: “Risk management, prudency and the expansion into a sector in which we aim for increased capitalization, i.e. SMEs, have been the key factors for our growth. We were the first to believe in this market. Likewise, the founder’ and management’s mentality, the fact that they are Romanians, the strong organizational culture increasingly adopting a decentralized model for a better management of the local risks have all been particularly helpful.
Almost 200 participants were present at the first ZF Bankers Summit panel. The event continues with panels such as: Trends in corporate and retail banking, Lessons of non-performing loans, Banking Marketing and The banker profession.
