Banca Transilvania, the main banking institution in the "SME INVEST” program, has started approving loans under this financing scheme. More than 5,000 companies have chosen BT as their partner bank so far this year. BT Financial Group is ready to take over requests on the other components of the program, AGRO SME INVEST, SME Factoring and SME Leasing.
In 2021, through the changes brought to the program, the categories of eligible beneficiaries have been expanded, so that the liberal professions, PFAs, family businesses and those with agricultural activities can apply for financing.
“The extension of the program is more than welcomed. We are confident, given the success it had last year. At BT, we continue to be significantly involved in facilitating access to financing and recommend SME INVEST to our clients. Everything that is important for the Romanian business, is important for us too. From what we see, farmers are showing significant interest in AGRO IMM INVEST and we expect this program to grow. We organize ourselves as best as we can to complete our customers’ requests by June 30.” declares Tiberiu Moisa, Deputy Chief Executive Officer MidCorporate&SME, Banca Transilvania.
The SME Invest program facilitates the access to financing for small and medium-sized businesses affected by the pandemic. The state guarantees up to 90% of the loan amount, and the guarantee granting period is up to 72 months. The beneficiaries can accumulate state-guaranteed financing up to the limit of 10 million RON, of which a maximum of 5 million RON for working capital.
More details for those entrepreneurs who choose BT as their partner bank can be found on the bank website.
