BT Capital Partners (BTCP), the division of investment banking and capital markets of the Financial Group Banca Transilvania, has led the consortium that has intermediated the bonds issue of the International Investment Bank (IIB), worth 300 million lei, bonds which will be listed by Bucharest Stock Exchange.
This issue, the second intermediated by BTCP for IIB, has been a complete success, being significantly oversubscribed by investors in Romania and abroad. This bond issue comes after another, worth 111 million lei, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in 2015. The funds obtained from the bond issue will be intended by the International Investment Bank for the crediting of Romanian companies and projects.
IIB has issued 30,000 3-year bonds with a nominal value of 10,000 lei, a fixed interest rate of 3.4% per annum, payable annually as of September 27, 2017 and the redemption of principal at maturity. The interest rate, determined having in view investors’ interest, has set a new benchmark for issuers on the Romanian market, the bonds being listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange starting with September 29, current year.
Paul Prodan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BT Capital Partners, declares: "The success of the two bonds of the International Investment Bank confirms the solid involvement of BT Capital Partners in enhancing financial intermediation in Romania, part of our commitment to strategic diversification of corporate financing by accessing the local capital market."
