The strong brand of Banca Transilvania, top 10 global banking on this index

Banca Transilvania, once again this year, tops the most valuable 500 banking brands in the world, namely on the 302nd place, according to the Brand Finance Banking 500 2022. The value of Banca Transilvania brand has increased to 460 million USD (from 441 million USD, in 2021).

Also, the strength of the Banca Transilvania’s brand (Brand Strength Index) registered a 19% increase compared to 2021, entering the territory of AAA + and placing BT in the top 10 global banking in terms of this indicator.

Banca Transilvania brand entered this ranking in 2018 (position 486), with a value of 174 million USD. The evolution is as follows: improvement in the ranking by almost 50 positions (2019), +100 positions (2020), and in 2021 it placed on the 302nd rank out of 339.

Brand Finance calculates the strength of a brand by a BSI index (Brand Strength Index), taking into account three pillars, resulting in a maximum score of 100, transformed into a rating system (for example, a brand with a BSI score of 90- 100 receives AAA + rating):

• Brand Investment (brand investment, marketing mix)

• Brand Equity (brand indicators among consumers and other stakeholders)

• Brand Performance (financial performance of the brand)
