Horia Ciorcilă


Horia Ciorcilă has been part of the story of Transilvania Bank since its beginning, being one of the founders. Currently in his seventh term as Chairman of the Board of Directors, he has played an essential role so far in the evolution of BT, which over time has become the leader of the banking market in Romania and Southeastern Europe.

He is part of the first generation of entrepreneurs of post-1989 Romania. The businesses created then laid the foundations of the Romanian entrepreneurial fabric, and those that grew played an essential role in the economic development of the country and in European integration.
Besides banking, he founded and developed businesses in telecommunications, real estate, health, education, sports, HoReCa, energy, and photovoltaic parks. In 2018, he founded Winners Holding Investments, with a presence in key sectors of the economy.
He is decorated with the Nihil Sine Deo distinction (2024) by the Royal Family of Romania.
He was born in 1963, in Cluj-Napoca.
