Banca Transilvania integrates artificial intelligence into BT Pay
  • The newest feature of BT Pay is the virtual assistant
  • BT is the first banking institution to integrate artificial intelligence in communication with clients, in services and processes

Users BT Pay have at their disposal a virtual assistant (Chat BT) for information regarding the application functionalities, as well as about the products and services of Transilvania Bank. Based on artificial intelligence of the Machine Learning type/automatic learning, Chat BT transforms the way clients interact with BT Pay through communication with the virtual assistant, directly within the application. Also, clients have the option to continue communication via chat with a person from the bank's team.

The new functionality is implemented progressively, and at this stage, communication is in Romanian, with the possibility of being available in other languages as well.

DRUID is the partner of Transilvania Bank for the development of Chat BT.

BT is the first banking institution in Romania to integrate artificial intelligence in communication with customers, in its services and processes, both of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) type and Large Language Model (LLM). BT took the first step in 2017, with the launch of the first chatbot for communication with customers. Another impactful integration, which simplifies interactions and has increased accessibility to information, is Microsoft Azure OpenAI, in 2023 and 2024, thanks to which visitors BT website, Question BT and FIT – Finance Understood by Everyone have at their disposal the option Search AI.

Transilvania Bank's investments in technology permanently consider how artificial intelligence can change the customer experience and streamline BT's and the banking industry's processes, contributing to learning, inclusion, financial education, and implicitly, to more efficient money management.
