Transilvania Bank continues to be the strongest banking brand in Europe, with a brand value exceeding 1 billion dollars, according to Brand Finance Banking 500 2026. The report shows that BT achieves a top brand score due to high credibility, attractiveness, and high recommendation level.

The analysis is carried out by Brand Finance, a company specialized in brand valuation globally, from the point of view of the financial value of the brand (Brand Value) and the strength of the brand (Brand Strength Index). Headquartered in London, Brand Finance has a presence in 25 countries and annually evaluates over 6,000 brands.

The Brand Banca Transilvania & Brand Finance Banking 500 2026:

  • Brand value: has exceeded 1 billion dollars, +6% compared to 2025, which places BT in position 224 in the Brand Finance Banking 500 2026 ranking. The brand value reflects the brand's commercial contribution to the bank's performance.

  • Rating: AAA+, elite level in the banking industry

  • Brand strength: BSI score (Brand Strength Index) of 92.9/100. This level reflects the brand's solidity, confidence, and differentiation in the market. BT remains for the fifth consecutive year in the top 10 strongest banking brands in the world.

Evolution of the brand value of Banca Transilvania

Banca Transilvania entered the Brand Finance Banking 500 ranking in 2018, at position 486 out of 500, with a brand value of 174 million dollars. Since then, the brand has recorded an upward trend both in value and in ranking position.

Dynamics of recent years:

  • 2025: the BT brand value reached 955 million dollars, +39% compared to 2024, 225th place (+27 positions);

  • 2024: the BT brand value reached 686.5 million dollars, +34% compared to 2023, 252nd place (+44 positions).

  • 2023: the bank entered the top 300 positions out of 500 (place 297), and the brand value reached 513 million dollars.
