BT Kiddo: card and application for children aged between 10 and 14 years and their parents
Banca Transilvania launches BT Kiddo card and BT Pay Kiddo application for children aged between 10 and 14 years. The news announced by the bank helps children to develop positive habits regarding money management, with the guidance of parents.
BT Kiddo means the following solutions for financial management:
- BT Kiddo card for children, which can be used for payments at merchants (POS) and cash withdrawals from ATMs
- BT Pay Kiddo application for children, with the following options:
- Checking the available balance and transactions made with the card
- Request/receipt of money from the parent who granted permission to use the application (maximum 500 lei/day)
- Payment with the phone and cash withdrawal from the ATM for phones with Android operating system
- A new section in BT Pay, Kiddo, for parents who have the BT Pay app, with the following features:
- Request for the issuance of the BT Kiddo card and access to the BT Pay application
- BT Kiddo card management: setting transaction limits, card blocking/unblocking, card top-up
- Viewing the child's account balance and the transactions made by them

Steps necessary for activating the application BT Kiddo and card request
BT Kiddo card can be requested by the child's parent through BT Pay, accessing the BT Pay Kiddo section. After filling in some information, they will receive confirmation that the app can be installed from the Store on the child's phone, the physical card will be delivered to the desired address, and the digital card will be available in the child's app immediately after installation.
In a first stage, in March this year, Banca Transilvania launched BT Pay Kiddo for teenagers aged between 14 and 18, who can use through the application the BT card issued in their name with the parent's consent.
