Star Cards issued by Banca Transilvania, part of loyalty program with the same name, they have a new design, made in collaboration with Brandient and Idemia.

The Star program was launched in 2011, at which time Banca Transilvania had in its portfolio 150,000 credit cards, and Star, approximately 700 partner stores. The program now means over 640,000 shopping cards and 25,000 affiliated locations, 70% of the cards are also in digital format, in the BT Pay application.

“The new design comes as a recognition of the relevance of the Star program for all those who are part of it – both customers with BT shopping cards, as well as partner merchants. Star has contributed essentially to the growth of the bank's card activity, as well as to the radical change in the payment behavior of Star customers, currently over 96% of transactions being purchases”, declares Oana Ilaș, Deputy General Director Retail Banking, Banca Transilvania.

What benefits do customers with Star cards have:

• Installment purchases without interest on over 25,000 of partner stores, physical and online; the maximum number of installments is 24, depending on the store.
• Accumulation of Star points on the card for each full payment with the shopping card domestically and abroad; one Star point is equivalent to one leu;
• The possibility of using Star points for shopping at affiliated stores;
• Access to credit on card, up to five times the monthly income;
• Exclusive offers from Star partner stores, promoted in the BT Pay app.

Star Ecosystem

Star program has become an ecosystem that covers the entire card activity of Transilvania Bank, both the issuing area and card acceptance solution area. Star constantly comes with facilities gradually available at partner online stores, which change the online shopping experience, the most recent being Payment with Star points directly in the online store and Pay with BT Pay, through which the user is directed in the application, where they can see the payment details and approve the transaction with one of the BT cards from BT Pay, without having to manually enter the card details on the merchant's website.
