The largest multipurpose hall in Romania bears the brand Banca Transilvania: BTarena

The Polyvalent Hall in Cluj-Napoca will be named, from now on, BTarena, based on the partnership between Transilvania Bank and Cluj-Napoca City Hall.

BT is the largest financial group in Romania, one of the strongest Romanian brands (BIZ 2018) and the most valuable banking brand in the country (Brand Finance 2017). The bank's involvement in the life of the Cluj community means supporting projects such as the U-BT basketball club and the U-Banca Transilvania senior men's basketball team; FC Universitatea Cluj 1919 - the FC Universitatea Cluj alliance (football) and the U-BT Sports Club Association (basketball); Eurobasket 2017; the 2017 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships; Napoca Rally Academy; BT Tennis Cup; Sports Festival; BT Run; Cluj Bikes; EMBA University of Hull - a 100% British business school; Clujul Are Suflet Foundation; BT Club; volunteering actions for reforestation; as well as partnerships with Untold and Electric Castle. 2 out of 3 Cluj citizens work with Banca Transilvania.

On the other hand, the Multipurpose Hall is a magnet for major sports and artistic events in Romania. In just four years, the 10,000-seat multifunctional hall has hosted sporting events such as Eurobasket 2017, the 2017 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships, the 2018 European Table Tennis Championship - youth and juniors, FedCup and Davis Cup matches, matches of Romania's national handball and basketball teams, and games from the championship and European cups of the men's basketball team U-Banca Transilvania. Regarding artistic events, Sting, Julio Iglesias, Jose Carreras, James Blunt, Eros Ramazzotti, Lara Fabian, Alphaville, Modern Talking, Dire Straits, and Smokie have performed at the Multipurpose Hall. Here too, every year, dozens of shows of the Untold festival, fairs, corporate events, and conferences take place. At the beginning of 2018, the Multipurpose Hall awarded the spectator number 2,000,000 who crossed its threshold.

BTarena is owned by the Cluj-Napoca City Hall.

Also today, the new website of the Polyvalent Hall is launched, btarena.info.
