Today, March 3, Victoriabank and BCR Chișinău become a single bank. The merger, which has reached the final stage, contributes to the growth of Victoriabank in the market of the Republic of Moldova.

Through the acquisition of BCR Chișinău, announced in 2024, Victoriabank marked a first on the market in the Republic of Moldova, a local bank purchasing entirely another banking institution from Moldova.

Financial impact of the BCR Chișinău acquisition:

• The consolidated net profit of Victoriabank for the year 2024 exceeded 1.1 billion lei, an increase of over 70% compared to 2023.
• The volume of credits increased by over 900 million lei.
• At the date of the merger, assets increased by 2 billion lei.

Victoriabank is increasing its presence in two areas, Chișinău and Bălți, and the team has expanded. Over 50% of BCR Chișinău employees are part of the Victoriabank team, and every fourth holds management positions.

This merger is an important step for our growth and for contributing to the strengthening of the banking market in the Republic of Moldova. The integration was coordinated by Vasile Donica, as CEO of BCR Chișinău, who returned to the top management team of Victoriabank, to the position of Corporate Vice President, previously held.
