Banca Transilvania è inclusa in Superbrands Romania 2026 – 2027 selection, an international program that recognizes brands appreciated for trust, relevance and the ability to create long-term value. Out of the several hundred brands evaluated, BT qualified in the Top 20 Superbrands Romania, along with brands such as: Dedeman, Uber, eMAG, Netflix, Samsung, Apple, OMV, Lidl, IKEA and Coca-Cola.

Banca Transilvania has climbed from third to second place in the ranking of Romania’s most valuable brands, with its brand value increasing to EUR 876 million, according to the Brand Finance Romania 50 2026 report released by Brand Finance. Banca Transilvania is also the strongest Romanian brand, with a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 92.9 out of 100 and an elite AAA+ brand rating.  

Romania ranks 49^th out of 139 economies in the Indice Globale dell'Innovazione 2025, according to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Banca Transilvania is among the main contributors to Romania’s performance, adding value in two key categories: brand value e intangible asset intensity, indicators that reflect investments in digitalization, technology, and innovation capacity. BT’s contribution highlights the role of the financial sector in supporting the competitiveness of the Romanian economy.

Banca Transilvania remains the strongest banking brand in Europe, with a brand value exceeding USD 1 billion, according to Brand Finance Banking 500 2026. With a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 92.9/100, BT has consolidated its position among the world's top 10 strongest banking brands for the fifth consecutive year.

Banca Transilvania is ranked among the top five most recognizable Romanian brands, according to a study conducted by Frappe Digital (Daedalus Online) in January 2026. La classifica is based on unaided awareness, one of the most relevant indicators of a brand’s performance. BT’s position confirms the brand’s strength and appeal, in a context where familiarity and trust remain key factors in public perception.

We received recognition for our relationship with investors and shareholders at the Gala ARIR, across multiple categories, such as: Best Investor Relations Program, Best IR Professional – Aurel Bernat, Best IR Representative, Best ESG Performance & Communication, Best IR Website, Best Annual Report, e Best IR Event. The awards were determined based on votes from institutional investors and the jury.

Banca Transilvania scored a maximum score, for the sixth consecutive year, in The Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR) assessment regarding the communication of the companies listed on the Regulated Market.

Vektor is the first investor communication indicator for listed companies and is calculated based on a methodology that includes 10 criteria, in line with the best international practices.

Valutazioni di Moody’s has affirmed Banca Transilvania’s deposit and issuer ratings, maintaining the ratings at Baa1/P-2 and Baa2/P-2, respectively. The agency also maintained the bank’s baseline credit assessment (BCA) at ba1, as well as its counterparty and bond ratings.

Moody’s assessment reaffirmed Banca Transilvania’s key strengths: its robust capitalization, profitability, operational efficiency, and extensive base of customer deposits. These factors supported the resilience of BT’s business model, the stability of its funding sources, its high liquidity, and the bank’s ability to support the economy and millions of customers over the long term.

Fitch Ratings has upgraded Banca Transilvania’s long-term issuer default rating (IDR) from “BBB-” to “BBB,” one notch above the country’s rating. The upgrade follows the update of the assessment criteria applied to certain banks in Central and Eastern Europe, including Banca Transilvania.

Fitch Ratings believes that Banca Transilvania is more resilient than the environment in which it operates, supported by its strong financial performance, very good capitalization, access to international markets, and its strategy of raising funds through MREL-eligible bonds. At the same time, Fitch emphasizes that the bank’s long-term issuer rating remains influenced by Romania’s sovereign rating, whose outlook remains negative.

Following an assessment conducted by Refinitiv, part of the London Stock Exchange Group, we achieved a score of 2.2/5 for our ESG performance. This rating reflects a high level of transparency in publicly reporting sustainability-related information.

With this rating, we are ranked 273^rd out of the 939 banks assessed by Refinitiv worldwide.

Banca Transilvania awarded on ESG rating of 3.3, following the FTSE Russell assessment. The ESG Index is the result of an assessment based on three pillars: environmental, social and governance, using more than 300 indicators that analyse the bank’s exposure and how BT addresses the ESG area topics.

Banca Transilvania's Sustainability Report received, following the evaluation by Indice CST, the Gold Level Recognition distinction, with 93/100 points. This distinction represents the highest ranking for performance and transparency in corporate sustainability in Romania, according to the Romania Corporate Sustainability and Transparency Index.
