The way we think today for generations to come

In 2023, we developed and published our first Sustainable Finance Framework, which enabled us to issue sustainable financial instruments to invest in and refinance projects that facilitate the transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy and/or have a positive social impact and alleviate social problems.

As a dedicated Financial Group, we are focused on fostering sustainable practices within the industries and areas where we are active. Through the issuance of sustainable finance instruments, we aim to offer additional transparency on the funded projects that have environmental and social benefits.

Allocation and Impact Reports

Continuing Our Sustainable Finance Journey

With the publication of our Second Allocation and Impact Report and the accompanying MSME Impact Report, we reaffirm our commitment to transparency and sustainable growth. These reports reflect the ongoing implementation of our Sustainable Finance Framework, detailing the allocation of raised funds and the resulting economic, environmental, and social impact—particularly through support for MSMEs, including contributions to Gross Value Added and employment.

Investing in Romania’s Future

We have been accelerating sustainable growth through three landmark ESG bond issuances under our EUR 1.5 billion Medium Term Note Programme, approved by the General Shareholders’ Meeting in September 2023. These include:

two consecutive international issues - EUR 500 million and EUR 700 million - listed on the Dublin Stock Exchange, that qualifies as a premiere for the CEE region and
the bank’s first RON-denominated sustainable bond listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in July 2025, a record in terms of size and part of our support for a dynamic local capital market.

Bond proceeds are aligned with the BT Sustainable Finance Framework, funding green and social projects across Romania. This progress reflects our long-term commitment to building a sustainable economy while strengthening its financial resilience.
