BT Pay application, preferred by Romanians in the diaspora: digital experience rated with NPS 86

Transilvania Bank announces very good results regarding the satisfaction of clients from the diaspora who open an account through the BT Pay application. The Net Promoter Score (NPS) result for this experience is 86 (out of 100), one of the highest recorded in the BT study on its clients' satisfaction in 2025 and the first months of 2026.

The profile of clients from the diaspora, according to the study:

  • High digital autonomy: clients from the diaspora are very autonomous in their digital interaction with Banca Transilvania.

  • Diverse use of the account: I use or intend to use the BT account for receiving recurring income from Romania (salary, pension, scholarship, allowance), for occasional income, saving, investments, testing BT solutions and maintaining financial connection with Romania.

  • How BT Pay customers choose: new customers opted for the application mainly due to recommendations (almost 50%), information found online (on the BT website, on social media and in searches using artificial intelligence – approximately 45%), as well as due to interactions with the team from Romania, Italy and the Republic of Moldova, where the Banca Transilvania Group has a physical presence.

Through BT Pay, money can be managed easily, anytime and from anywhere in the world

BT Pay helps Romanians in the diaspora manage their money anytime and from anywhere, as well as stay financially connected with family and friends from Romania. BT Pay replaces the trip to the bank for people who want to become clients of Transilvania Bank.

New clients have immediate access to all application functionalities and instantly receive, within the application, the digital debit card and later, the physical card, at one of the bank's branches or at the desired address. The card can be funded either via IBAN transfer or by a card from another bank, added in BT Pay. Romanians residing in Italy have the application availableBT Pay Italia, which means Italian IBAN - so that income from Italy can be received in the BT account, without collection fee -, digital card and instant transfer solutions. The application can be downloaded from Google Play, App Store and Huawei AppGallery.

Where do most of the new BT Pay clients live

10% of the bank's new clients who open an account through the BT Pay application live or study abroad, most of them being in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Moldova, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
