Ionuț Stroe is the new General Director of BT Pensions, following the approval received from the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF). Previously, he held the position of Deputy General Director, his promotion ensuring the stability and continuity of the BT Pensions strategy.

The position of General Director became vacant after Corina Cojocaru, who coordinated BT Pensions in recent years, received in December 2025 the ASF approval for the position of General Director of BRD Pensions, company acquired by BT Group in November 2025. The acquisition marked the entry of the BT Group into Pillar 2 and the consolidation of the position on Pillar 3, opening a new stage of development for the pension administration segment.

BT Pensii manages voluntary pension funds (Pillar 3), while BRD Pensii manages a mandatory private pension fund (Pillar 2).

After receiving the relevant approvals from the Financial Supervisory Authority, the name of the company BRD Pensii and of the private pension fund managed by BRD will be changed, reflecting the affiliation to the Banca Transilvania Group.
