Transilvania Bank has exceeded the milestone of 8 million cards in the portfolio, and 70% of these are even digital, enrolled in the BT Pay application.

BT is the market leader in cards in Romania, both in issuance and acceptance, due to solid infrastructure and an innovation-oriented strategy. The wide range of solutions is intended for both card users and merchants - physical POS and POS App, e-commerce services, the option to pay with Pay with BT Pay etc. - consolidating Banca Transilvania's position as the main facilitator of electronic transactions in the country.

The bank also marked the following achievements in 2025:

• Over 650,000 currency cards, in euros and dollars, in portfolio;
  
  
• Over 550,000 virtual cards issued directly in BT Pay, in the portfolio;
  
  
• Over 200,000 BT Visa UNTOLD cards, virtual and physical, in portfolio. Launched in July 2025, the physical BT Visa UNTOLD card is the first in Romania and among the first in the world with OLED technology, thanks to which it lights up with every contactless payment.
  
  
• Issuance of 60,000 McLaren F1 Team Mastercard Debit virtual cards (in lei) and McLaren F1 Team Mastercard Debit Gold (in euros). These are the first cards in the world issued in partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team and were launched in July 2025.
  
  
• Payments and money transfers made with BT Visa Untold cards and McLaren F1 Team Mastercard Debit through BT Pay are accompanied by a special sound effect in the app, an innovation that transforms ordinary payments into unique experiences.
  
  
• Star, the largest loyalty program in Romania intended for customers with shopping cards, has reached 40,000 partner locations. Through it, the bank offers customers who use Star cards loyalty points, respectively the possibility to make purchases in installments without interest.
  
  
• Payment option Pay with BT Pay is available now on 30,000 websites.
  
  
• Launch BT Pay Italia for Romanians with residence in Italy and for Italians, an application that means Italian IBAN, digital card and instant transfers.
  
  
• Reaching, in November 2025, of a new record regarding the volume of transactions made through its payment ecosystem, with cards, through applications, at POS terminals and ATMs: 11 million transactions in a single day, on the occasion of Black Friday.

It was an excellent year from the point of view of the card activity of Transilvania Bank, in which we consolidated our position as market leader both in the issuance segment and in acceptance. 2025 meant premieres and innovations in our payment ecosystem built around cards – new products, solutions and functionalities, as well as the development of impactful strategic partnerships. We thank the partners, clients, and teams who contributed to these results. 2026 looks to be at least equally dynamic, with ambitious plans through which the bank will continue to contribute to the digitalization of the population and the business environment. We will invest in new technologies and support the evolution of digital payments in Romania, so that they become increasingly simple, integrated and more accessible.

BT Pay became in 2025 the only application through which individual customers can do banking with Banca Transilvania, after a comprehensive process of simplifying the digital experience of customers, carried out throughout the year.

The Transilvania Bank ecosystem offers access to banking from anywhere in the world and includes cards, applications (for mobile and web), and digital solutions, in addition to the national infrastructure, with over 177,000 POS terminals and over 2,000 ATMs and self-banking machines.
