Sustainable financing framework

The way we think today for the generations of tomorrow

In 2023, we created and published our first framework on sustainable financing, which allowed us to launch sustainable financial instruments aimed at financing and refinancing projects that facilitate the transition to a low carbon dioxide emission economy and resilience to climate change and/or that generate a positive impact and mitigate social issues.

As an involved Financial Group, we have committed to promoting economic activities in the sectors and regions where we operate by issuing sustainable financial instruments. We aim to provide additional transparency regarding the funded projects that bring social and environmental benefits.

Allocation and Impact Report 2025

Continuation of our approach towards sustainable financing

With the publication of thesecond report on fund allocation and impact and the report regarding SMEs, we reaffirm our commitment to transparency and sustainable growth. These reports reflect the ongoing implementation of Framework our sustainable financing , detailing the allocation of the funds raised and the resulting economic, social and environmental impact, especially through the support provided to SMEs.

We invest in Romania's future

We accelerated sustainable growth through three landmark ESG bond issuances under our 1.5 billion EUR Medium-Term Note Program, approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders in September 2023. These include:

two consecutive international issues – 500 million EUR and 700 million EUR – listed on the Dublin Stock Exchange, which constitute a premiere for the ECE region, and
the first sustainable bond denominated in RON of the bank, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in July 2025, a record in terms of size and part of our support for a dynamic local capital market.

The income from bonds is aligned with the Financial Framework country BT, intended for green and social projects throughout Romania. This progress reflects our long-term commitment to building a sustainable economy, while simultaneously strengthening its financial resilience.
