BT, the largest bank in South-Eastern Europe for the third year in a row

Banca Transilvania is the largest bank in Southeast Europe by assets in 2020, ranking first in the SEE TOP 100 Banks compiled and published by SeeNews.

The SEE TOP 100 Banks is a ranking of the largest banks in Southeast Europe by total assets, as reported in individual annual financial statements, as at December 31, 2020.

Banca Transilvania at year-end 2020:

BT net profit: RON 1,197.31 million
Loans: RON 46.16 billion
Customer deposits: RON 90.94 billion
Number of customers: 3.2 million

2020 was a year of resilience and solidarity, in which Banca Transilvania introduced its own measures to support customers, in addition to those announced under the public moratorium, deferred loan instalments and reduced fees. The positive results are mainly due to effective cost management and higher volumes of operations.
