The CHF LIBOR index used for Swiss franc loans will transition to SARON starting January 1, 2022. The replacement will be made automatically for customers with CHF loans, and no addendum to the loan agreement is required.

Banca Transilvania has a small portfolio of Swiss franc loans, taken over from Volksbank Romania and Bancpost following the mergers with the two banks. Customers with Swiss franc loans will receive details during January 2022, by e-mail or by post, depending on the communication channel they have chosen with BT.

This change is part of an international legislative framework, under Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1847 of October 14, 2021.
