The only Romanian bank in Italy

Banca Transilvania’s story in Italy began 12 years ago. We came with the intention of being in Rome first and foremost for our fellow Romanians here. But anyone is always welcome to bank with us, to drop by for a chat and a cappuccino — all the more so since our team includes both Romanians and Italians.

Ciao, we’ve arrived in Rome!

“Ciao, we’ve arrived in Rome!” was our message in 2014, on arrival, when we opened our branch in Italy at Via Baldo degli Ubaldi no. 184 B. We came into a country with a long banking tradition, sophisticated — and with people to match — planning to replicate in another country some of the success we’ve had in Romania. We look back on that period with fondness, for everything it meant.

• We’re also the only bank through which, if you want a home in Romania, you can take out a loan from us while you have an employment contract in Italy.

We’re here for whatever you need — transfers, mortgages or personal loans 😊. If you’re an individual customer, drop by BT to open an account, apply for a debit card, keep your savings with us, send money home and make cash transactions. If your plans call for more funds, we can help with a personal loan or a mortgage. More recently, we also have the BT Pay Italia app.

If you run a business, even better: with us you can open an account,  place deposits, etc. You can carry out transactions, do foreign exchange, and we offer POS and eCommerce solutions. Yes, we also provide loans.

Today, 7,000 Romanian and Italian customers bank with BT Italia. Three hundred of them are companies, and we’re glad to support the entrepreneurial spirit here as well.
