Banca Transilvania and OTP Bank Romania have become a single bank
Banca Transilvania announces the successful completion of the merger with OTP Bank Romania. BT strengthens its position as a leader and reaches a 23% market share both through organic growth, as well as through the integration of OTP Bank. The merger results for BT also include +9% assets, +13% loan portfolio, and greater presence in Bucharest and in the central part of the country.
Transilvania Bank has a core competence, the rapid and successful execution of the integrations of acquired companies. This time, it was even a record-time integration, in just seven months, with a very good implementation, made possible due to the similarities and synergies between BT and OTP Bank, as well as the involvement of the teams from both banks. We welcome the new clients, business partners, and colleagues.

Two mergers on the same day, in Romania and the Republic of Moldova
Grupul Banca Transilvania has the richest history in Romania in acquisitions and integrations.
Through the two mergers, the Banca Transilvania Group contributes to the consolidation of the banking markets in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
