The integration of OTP Bank into Banca Transilvania has entered the final stage, and the two banks will merge on February 28, 2025.

Until the merger, the two banks continue to operate separately, with the integration of OTP Bank into Banca Transilvania being in full swing.

The products and services of Transilvania Bank can be used by OTP Bank customers starting from March 3, 2025, who can already have the new IBAN and the new physical BT card, as well as the BT Pay app.

#4. Personalized information

Banca Transilvania and OTP Bank sent customers, in December 2024, personalized notifications, with details about BT products and services, integration calendar etc. by mail and, where possible, also by email.

#5. BT Cards

BT cards will replace OTP Bank cards starting from March 3, 2025. They were sent by courier or at certain Banca Transilvania and OTP Bank agencies.

• Upon receiving the card:
  • Activate the card at one of the BT ATMs, using the code received by SMS. If you receive the card at one of the OTP Bank agencies, we also have BT ATMs there, to make everything as easy as possible for you.
    
    
    • Download the app BT Pay, you will be able to use it for everyday banking – including the BT digital card – from March 3, 2025.
      
      
    • If you are a common customer (that is, you work with both OTP Bank and BT), you will be able to add the application to BT Pay the digital card issued by BT, immediately after its activation at one of the BT ATMs.

#6. BT IBANs

At BT you will have a different IBAN for the current account, which can be used starting from March 3, 2025. You need it in case of money transfers domestically and abroad. For example, if you receive money, it is necessary that the person making the transfer knows your IBAN and your name. For receiving the scholarship, allowance, or pension, BT takes care of transmitting the new IBAN to the respective institutions.

#7. Over 1,900 BT ATMs for basic operations

You can use OTP Bank cards for cash withdrawal and balance inquiry at BT ATMs, under the same cost conditions you have at OTP Bank Romania ATMs. Our bank has over 1,900 ATMs in 350 locations.
