Money safety and data confidentiality are essential for us. Online banking comes with advantages, but also risks. Are you vigilant enough and do you know how to protect yourself from fraud?
FAST HELP
Make sure your money stays safe, urgently block your card and request a new one. You can do both operations directly from BT Pay or by calling our colleagues at the Call Center (0264 308 028) which are available 24/7. Once you have requested the new card, you can add it to BT Pay and make payments securely on the spot.
We encourage you to check transactions as often as possible, to have control and security over your money. You can do this directly from BT Pay, with just a few taps or with the help of BT Visual Help. As an additional step, you can activate SMS Alert - you receive SMS 24/7 for every transaction you make and the remaining balance on your account.
If you notice anything suspicious, you can dispute the transactions and we will try to recover the amounts as follows:
- Record the refusal to pay in BT Visual Help (call at 0264 308 000/Access link received by SMS/Disputing transactions)
- Call us at 0264 308 028 (Call Center) or write to us at contact@btrl.ro
- Come to any BT unit and our colleagues will help you
This can happen to anyone and the first thing you need to do is request the blocking of the BT Pay application. Our colleagues from the Call Center (0264 308 028) I can help you with blocking the card, of the applications and with checking recent transactions, to make sure no payments were made without your consent.
Another solution is to go to the nearest BT unit, and our colleagues will help you both with blocking the card and applications, as well as with verifying the transactions.
Well, if something seems too good to be true or you have the slightest suspicion that it might be a fraud, it most likely is. Be careful with messages that appear to be from Banca Transilvania (or banks, in general). We will never ask you for access data (passwords, PIN, card CVV) – by phone, SMS, e-mail, etc. If you find yourself in the situation of receiving such an email, notify us as soon as possible, at the number dedicated exclusively to fraud assistance: 0264 308 055.
Avoid accessing links received from unknown sources and do not fill in your personal or banking data on these links. If you have suspicions regarding an offer, avoid accessing the respective materials and check the existence of the promotion or offer on an official communication channel of the company.
