Professor Vasile Pușcaș, a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Transilvania, has been elected a member of Academia Europaea (London), in recognition of his scholarly achievements as a professor, diplomat and historian.

He is also known for his essential role as Romania’s Chief Negotiator in the European Union accession process between 2000 and 2004, as well as for being a corresponding member of the Romanian Academy.

Academia Europaea is one of Europe’s most prestigious international academic institutions, established in 1988 and headquartered in London. It brings together approximately 5,500 members, leading figures from across all fields of European science and culture.
