Congratulations to the U-Banca Transilvania basketball team, winners of the Romanian Cup for the third year in a row. The final was played in Sfantu Gheorghe on February 13, 2018, against CSM CSU Oradea.

Ousamane Barro, one of U-Banca Transilvania’s players, was named "BT Player of the Game", receiving the award from Zare Markovski, Romania’s head coach.

Since 2016, Banca Transilvania has been the main sponsor of Clubul Sportiv U-BT Cluj-Napoca and the number one supporter of Romanian basketball.
