Updating your details is a topic you’ve been seeing a lot of lately. You’ve probably already received a few notifications from us about this, but we mean well. Promise 🤓.

Why do you need to update your company details?

First, because it’s a legal requirement. Yes, the law requires us to keep all customer data in the bank’s systems up to date, even if nothing has changed since the last update.

Plus, your information, both personal and company, will be recorded correctly and completely in our system. That way, your account stays safe, protected against any attempt at fraud.

How do you update your details?

If you’re eligible, you can update your company details quickly and easily online. Check on our website whether you’re eligible to update online, have your ID handy and start the process. It doesn’t take more than 10 minutes 😊.

If not, you can also update your details at any BT branch. Choose the nearest location or whichever is most convenient.

What happens if you don’t update your details?

If you don’t update your details, we’ll have to restrict your access to your personal or business accounts and to the products you hold with BT. We know — we don’t like this part either. But we want you to know exactly how the whole process works and how important it is.

And if anything changes in the future, please let us know as soon as possible. That way we can make sure your details are correct and complete, and our business relationship stays as secure and strong as possible.
