BT supports Creative Business Cup, one of the largest international competitions in the creative industries
Are you an entrepreneur in the creative industries? Apply to the international Creative Business Cup by June 12 and you could make it to Copenhagen to present your idea. At the event, the most creative entrepreneurs selected from various countries will pitch their ideas to secure investment as well as prizes in cash and services worth over EUR 100,000.
Each participating country selects a winner who will compete for the title of World’s Best Creative Entrepreneur in Copenhagen, and in Romania the competition is organized by GEA Strategy & Consulting with support from BT, the principal partner for Romanian creativity.
Applications are invited from creative entrepreneurs who have already developed a product or service, at least at prototype stage, with the potential to scale globally.
Eligible fields are very diverse, and the best ideas will be considered in: design, architecture, arts and crafts, advertising, film, video and photography, performing arts, music, fashion, gastronomy, publishing and press, radio and television, software, computer applications and digital publications, toys and games.
Entries for Creative Business Cup Romania are open until June 12, and entrepreneurs must complete an English-language questionnaire with details about their idea (market description, identified need, team), available online.
Based on the applications received, an initial 5 creative entrepreneurs will be selected; they will receive free business consulting and take part in fundraising and pitching workshops, and in September the winner will be chosen on the basis of a pitch.
The winner will represent Romania at the international competition in Copenhagen, where they will present their idea to international partners and investors. Travel costs are covered with our support, as we want to stay as close as possible to the creative sector and grow together.

Creative Business Cup takes place as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), the world’s largest event dedicated to start-ups and entrepreneurs in the creative industries.
This year’s edition is expected to attract hundreds of start-ups from around the world. Last year, the grand winner of the CBC was Green City Solution from Germany – an urban tree covered in moss that absorbs nitrogen dioxide, with the effect of 275 natural trees.
Romania is taking part, for the sixth year, in one of the largest international competitions in the creative industries sector, the Creative Business Cup (CBC), which will take place in Copenhagen in November this year and offers entrepreneurs a platform for promotion and funding.
We wish the contestants every success!
