Day in, day out, for 12 years we’ve done everything we can to help the nearly 50,000 doctors who work with BT make their ambitions a reality. How could we not stand with them now, in tough times?

So far, BT has committed almost EUR 680,000 to support Romanians, doctors and hospitals in Romania in the fight against COVID-19, and real-time updates on what we have done together with partners close to our hearts can be followed here.

We also had another, heartfelt idea: to turn the voices of Romanians into a message of thanks to doctors, for their effort and dedication in this unprecedented period. We want to show, in one voice, our respect and solidarity.

On the one hand, there are the doctors, who honour the Hippocratic Oath and put people and their health first. On the other, it’s time for us Romanians to make a pledge to doctors — a pledge of responsibility, because their health is the health of us all. This is our way of showing that we think of them and those around us as family: I solemnly commit to being responsible. I offer doctors my respect and gratitude. Their health is my health. I will do everything in my power to take all the necessary preventive measures: I wash my hands as often as possible, I leave the house only when it is absolutely necessary, I solemnly commit to being mindful and dignified. I choose to get information only from official sources. I will not share fake news. I will not panic. Those around me are my brothers and sisters. I help the community with whatever I can. Before thinking of myself, I will think of the good of all. I will not allow my freedom to harm others. I solemnly commit to being human. I swear to be human.
