Good news from the initiators of the Donate for the Frontline platform — Banca Transilvania, Mobexpert, Bitdefender and eMAG — just a few days after its launch to support doctors, medical staff, gendarmes, police officers and everyone fighting the COVID-19 pandemic on the front line:

• Yesterday (April 9), more than 350,000 FFP2 masks arrived in the country from China, purchased with funds donated by the founders and by individual and corporate donors. These add to the more than 4 million surgical masks brought into the country on Wednesday (April 8) for front-line doctors nationwide.

• Real estate developer Genesis Property, owner of the Novo Park and West Gate office parks in Bucharest, donated RON 100,000 to support the platform’s activity and the purchase of supplies that will be distributed via the Department for Emergency Situations to staff in hospitals directly treating COVID-19 patients. "In difficult times, solidarity and support for the people on the front line in this pandemic are essential. We are joining the campaign to support medical staff and are confident that together we will get through this challenging period,” Liviu Tudor, owner of Genesis Property.
