The first conversion agreement under the Banca Transilvania – Bancpost offer, aimed at Bancpost customers with Swiss franc loans secured by real estate, was signed today.

In the first two weeks of the campaign, 1,025 meetings took place between the joint Bancpost - BT teams and Bancpost customers, averaging about 85 meetings a day, across more than 70 Bancpost branches included in the campaign.

32% of customers have accepted the offer to convert their loans from CHF into euro or lei; the next step is signing the documents. The campaign runs through August 31 this year.

In early July this year, Banca Transilvania and Bancpost launched an offer for Bancpost customers who have Swiss franc loans secured by real estate. In the first phase, the almost 2,250 eligible Bancpost customers were contacted by phone and invited to a meeting at one of the Bancpost branches included in the campaign to learn the details of the offer. After meeting with the Bancpost - BT team, customers have 15 days to decide whether to accept the conversion, after which they need to make another appointment, again at Bancpost, to sign the documentation.

For Bancpost customers with Swiss franc loans secured by real estate, the offer represents an 18% reduction applied to the current outstanding balance, net of any past-due obligations and any amounts calculated as owed by the customer but not yet due.
