BT Talks, BT's Podcast, Live from TIFF

It's podcast time again! 🎙️ This time with a festival vibe because we're coming to you straight from TIFF. Alongside us, right in the middle of the action, is Andi Moisescu. He’s at TIFF, and for 3 days we’ll be chatting with guests you definitely won’t want to miss. 😊

We’ll meet actors, directors, film critics — people with remarkable achievements we can all learn from. We want to find out more about them and what lies behind a great performance or a flawlessly written script. We’ll talk about plans for the future, and about what the past year has meant for the film industry.

We know we’ve made you curious, so get your headphones ready for what’s coming. 🎧

Dan Dinu and Cosmin Dumitrache tell us about Wild Romania, a project started more than 10 years ago that led to an impressive film about Romania.

Daniel Sandu shares what inspired the feature film The Father Who Moves Mountains, and the challenges the team faced during filming.

Mihai Chirilov, TIFF’s artistic director, helps transport us back to the festival’s first editions. If you’re curious to find out how it all started, you shouldn’t miss this episode.

Nae Caranfil is a screenwriter, actor and director, and this year he receives the festival’s Excellence Award. We talked about how the film industry has evolved in recent years.

Maria Popistasu is part of the jury, and this year we can see her in Intregalde. She told us what it was like to shoot during the pandemic, and how family life fits with a career in acting.

Florin Piersic Jr. tells us about theatre and the characters he’s preparing these days, and we also find out how he came to act in That Was Life.

Oana Giurgiu, TIFF’s executive director, talks about the community that has gathered around the festival. She shares stories about passionate people who come as volunteers every year.

Founded in 2002 in Cluj-Napoca, the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) is Romania’s first and largest festival dedicated to feature films.

Banca Transilvania is TIFF’s main, long-standing partner.
