The Star card is your shopping card that comes with multiple benefits. Whatever you want to buy, you can pay in interest-free installments at partner merchants in the program — over 10,000 nationwide. In addition, if you choose to pay the full amount, you get money back in points. 1 Star point = 1 leu.

How to buy in installments

• To buy the products you want in interest-free installments, shop at a partner store in the Star program. Ask the sales assistant to process the payment in installments on a BT POS. After the transaction is completed, your receipt will show the number of installments used for your purchase.
• When you pay, sufficient funds must be available on the card, and the amount will be held. If the credit available does not cover the full cost of your shopping, you can top up the card; only the portion drawn from the credit facility will be split into installments.
• Budgeting is easy because your monthly statement shows the monthly installment you need to pay. To avoid interest, pay back the amount used that month — whether installments, purchases or cash withdrawals — by the 25th of the following month.
• Of course, any amount you pay into the account becomes available immediately, so you can make even more purchases in installments.
• If you don’t have enough money, you must pay at least 10% of the amount used that month by the 25th of the following month. In this case, interest will apply.

How Star points work:

• For purchases you make with the Star card, you receive up to 15% of the purchase value back as points on the card. 1 Star point = 1 leu. The number of points you receive varies by partner. You do not earn points on purchases made in installments.
• What can you do with the points? Spend them on more shopping at over 9,500 Star locations across all categories.
