“Hello, Romania! Still paying cash in 2018? Well, you might have better things to do with your time.” is the key message of the latest Visa & Banca Transilvania campaign, which encourages contactless payments with BT Pay.

What makes the campaign’s video ad stand out is the voice-over by a famous American actor, who urges Romanians to make time for the things that matter most in life — and one way to do that is to pay contactless. The commercial features well-known figures such as Mihai Dobrovolschi – Guerrilla; Catalin Stefanescu – TVR and Dragos Bucurenci, as well as the BT Fairy and “everyday” people, all lip-syncing to the American actor’s message. An angelic setting, an emotional message, a call to manage things so we have time for everything.

When you pay cash, you lose time: you do the math, count the money, get your change and then put it neatly in your wallet or pocket. You pay contactless in the time it takes to say … ping, with one of the products in the BT Pay accessories collection — the sticker, bracelet, contactless watch and the BT Pay app. All alongside contactless cards. Because together with Visa we wanted to offer you a new shopping experience. And because it’s cool to pay contactless.

The creative concept was developed in collaboration with Main Stage | The Agency and production house Multi Media Est. The director is Radu Muntean, and filming took place in Bucharest.
