Daniela Secară, CEO BT Capital Partners, made the following comments to Hotnews.ro, on the listing of minority stakes in state-owned companies for fiscal consolidation:

"The Bucharest Stock Exchange and international markets, especially in Europe, are in a favourable environment and are trading around record highs, including amid a reallocation of some capital flows from the United States to Europe. Against this backdrop, and given Romania’s substantial financing needs in 2025 and 2026, listing additional tranches of shares in state-owned companies already on the Bucharest Stock Exchange would bring immediate benefits both to public finances and to investors’ perception of Romania, as well as to the governance and performance of the listed companies. Financial markets are in a good place, and it is good that Romania is looking to capitalise on this favourable window."
