• Where I am now, I feel I can fulfill certain plans and dreams; I believe I can make a difference. My job is to give people the chance to become entrepreneurs or, as intrapreneurs, to grow at Banca Transilvania — and that is a pleasure. It’s not about having the leading role, it’s about being part of a story; that’s what motivates me every day. And I don’t think there is a playbook.

  
  

• In intrapreneurship, we are accountable to our shareholders and to entrepreneurs. We have to deliver returns, revenues and growth. One of the joys and advantages is that at BT I work with entrepreneurs; as an intrapreneur I get the chance to work with them and watch their growth. The downside is that there are a lot of stakeholders to keep in balance. Intrapreneurship in such a highly regulated company is quite challenging, but when you do it, it brings great satisfaction because you have impacted the lives and businesses of many people.

  
  

• I believe that for a first-time entrepreneur the main investment should be in their own business. But once you start generating returns and creating capital, you should diversify as much as possible. I’m a fan of the capital markets, so I continue to support investments in equities, funds and instruments that I find liquid, even if there is volatility. And as the available budget grows, the next step is real estate or investing in other businesses.
