Banca Transilvania was part of the consortium of banks that will provide a significant share of the financing for the transaction through which MidEuropa acquired the majority stake in Romanian Business Consult (RBC).

BT acted as lead lender, with the largest commitment in the syndicated facility, and also served as co-arranger. Participation in an M&A transaction of this scale underscores Banca Transilvania’s ability to structure complex financings, coordinate bank consortia and support projects with a significant impact on the economy.

Following this acquisition, MidEuropa, a leading private equity investor in Central and Eastern Europe, becomes—together with RBC’s founder and CEO, Andrei Bojiță—the majority shareholder of Romania’s largest IT integrator serving the retail, banking and industrial sectors. The partnership will enable RBC to draw on operational expertise, regional experience and M&A execution capabilities to accelerate its growth.
