Banca Transilvania is a partner bank in the SME Eco‑Tech financing programme, aimed at manufacturing SMEs, with funding for green and digital transformation to improve their environmental footprint.

The programme is run by the Ministry of Economy, Digitalisation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEDAT), financed with Swiss funds, in partnership with participating banks.

Funding under the SME Eco‑Tech programme comprises two components:

• Non-repayable grant of up to 267,240 lei (equivalent to 50,000 Swiss francs), covering up to 40% of the eligible costs of an investment project. The grant is conditional on obtaining a bank loan under the programme to cover the remaining 60%.
  
  
• Bank loan of at least 400,860 lei (equivalent to 75,000 Swiss francs), to finance 60% of the project’s eligible costs.
  
  

Investment projects may target equipment, technologies and solutions that improve energy efficiency and reduce resource consumption.

The programme budget amounts to 288.8 million lei, of which 70% is financed from Swiss funds and 30% is MEDAT’s contribution from the state budget. Projects will be evaluated and financed in the order in which complete applications are received.
