Banca Transilvania is launching a new online shopping campaign for banking products, Be a top scorer with the STAR card, inspired by football and especially by Lionel Messi’s performances. On February 18 this year, the match kicks off at 9:00 and ends at 23:59, and two of BT customers’ favorite products will take to the field to be available at a discount: the STAR Forte credit card and the personal loan in RON.

The campaign line-up includes:

• Striker Package: STAR Forte card (no issuance fee and 100 STAR bonus points) + personal loan in RON (7.49% interest instead of 10.5%);
• Hat-Trick Package: STAR Forte card (no issuance fee) + Adidas official match ball;
• Free Kick Package: STAR Forte card (no issuance fee, 150 STAR bonus points) + 15% discount at Hervis stores;
• 50% discount for Adrian Mutu’s testimonial match (Sports Festival, Team Romania vs Team World, June 13, 2020, BT Arena, Cluj-Napoca).

Lionel Messi is the star of BT & Mastercard’s latest ad, which promotes the STAR card and was launched in January this year. Shopping with this card is a winner because it earns customers loyalty points (STAR), which can be used for other purchases, as well as shopping in installments at over 12,000 merchants.

Over 500,000 STAR credit cards are in Romanians’ wallets or on their phones, enrolled in the BT Pay and Apple Pay apps.

In 2019, Banca Transilvania granted over 100,000 personal loans, for plans as diverse as refinancing, home improvements, vacations or buying a car.
