From February to August 2025, 280,000 people tested their knowledge of digital threats on the Banca Transilvania Online Safety platform, with a record 12,000 participants per day. Over six months, the test was completed 365,000 times.

The most challenging questions were on the following topics:

• What information is required to receive money into an account? 

Correct answer: the IBAN and the recipient’s name.

• What should you do if you receive a message or a call from a bank employee asking you to install a remote-access app for your devices, such as AnyDesk/Team View?

Correct answer and action: do not comply with the request, end the call and notify BT of the attempted fraud at the phone number 0264 30 80 55.

• How should you proceed if someone calls claiming to be from the bank and asks for personal/banking information, on the pretext of updating your details to avoid your account access being blocked?
