Banca Transilvania has passed the 10,000 mark for BT Visa Platinum Debit cards, one year after launch. The accelerated pace of over 800 cards a month confirms growing interest in premium financial solutions that support an active, modern lifestyle.

BT Premium Banking, a growing community 

At the end of 2025, Banca Transilvania had over 150,000 Premium clients, with 6 billion euros in assets under management across the BT Group. Through Premium Banking, the bank serves individuals with recurring income above 10,000 lei and/or savings between 75,000 and 200,000 euros within the Banca Transilvania Group.

BT Visa Platinum Debit – premium benefits and design

The BT Visa Platinum Debit card offers benefits for travel, shopping and dining, enhancing everyday life with premium advantages. 

• The physical card is made of metal and is manufactured in the United States using production technologies specific to high‑end cards, giving it durability and a sophisticated look.
• The digital card, available in the BT Pay app, features holographic optical effects, marking a market first at launch for the visual experience it delivers.

In recent years in Romania, the segment of the population with above‑average incomes and a greater capacity to save and invest has expanded — a trend also reflected in the growing interest in premium services. We are seeing significantly higher interest in deposits and savings products, as well as in products such as investment funds and private pensions.
