On January 16, 2025, Banca Transilvania began distributing cards to corporate clients of OTP Bank Romania.

As of the same date, customers receive, by courier and, where applicable, by email, an official notice from the two banks. It includes the welcome offer, as well as the following details:

• The benefits of the BT card that will replace the OTP Bank card as of March 3, 2025;
• The Banca Transilvania/OTP Bank branch where the card can be collected.

Customers can also find out the BT/OTP Bank branch from which they can pick up their card(s):

• online, on the Banca Transilvania website;
• at any BT branch;
• via the BT Call Center & Customer Care (0800 800 881; +40264 308 014; otp@bancatransilvania.ro).

To book an appointment to pick up the card at the branch to which it was sent, OTP Bank customers can schedule online.

Card collection and activation 

• All of a company’s cards must be collected by the company’s legal representative;
• After receiving the card from the company administrator, each person must activate it at one of Banca Transilvania’s ATMs.

BT and OTP Bank Romania will merge on February 28, 2025.
