The status of the Banca Transilvania & Bancpost plan for Bancpost customers with Swiss franc loans is as follows: 

• BT and Bancpost publicly announced the plan for Bancpost customers with Swiss franc loans at the beginning of May this year. 18% is the reduction for approximately 2,300 customers with eligible loans who wish to convert their CHF loans into lei or euro. This discount will be applied to the current loan balance as a principal reduction. Details here.
• The offer is intended for customers who have Swiss franc loans currently outstanding at Bancpost and whose contracts were part of that bank’s portfolio when Banca Transilvania acquired the majority stake in Bancpost (April 3, 2018)

• BT sought to include, as part of the Bancpost acquisition, the Bancpost customers with Swiss franc loans whose loans had been assigned, but the negotiations did not conclude successfully (the offers submitted by BT were rejected by the seller). For this reason, the BT and Bancpost offer cannot be extended to them.

In April this year, Banca Transilvania became the owner of the majority stake held by Eurobank Group in Bancpost, as well as the shares held in ERB Retail Services IFN and ERB Leasing IFN. Integration into BT Financial Group’s operations is currently under way, during which Bancpost customers should continue to contact Bancpost.
