The BT Pay app has three new options: Split the bill, Request money and Send money to multiple recipients

BT Pay, the wallet app for shopping and money transfers by phone, now has three new features: Split the bill, Request money from multiple people and Send money to multiple phone contacts.
With the new options, Banca Transilvania cardholders can involve friends who also use BT Pay for new ways to pay together. You can now split a bill with friends or pool money for shared purchases.
“We will keep launching new features in BT Pay so that it becomes an even bigger part of our customers’ everyday lives. The app has been very well received so far: since late January and up to now we’ve had over 1,000 downloads every day” - said Oana Ilas, Coordinating Director, Retail Product Development and Management Division, Banca Transilvania.
BT Pay, a digital wallet with 7 features:
- Contactless payments with your phone, in Romania and abroad. This feature is available for smartphones running Android; iOS does not allow third-party apps to access NFC (Near Field Communication). Any BT card can be added in digital form in the BT Pay app.
- Money transfers between your own cards and to other people who have BT cards, debit or credit, Visa or Mastercard;
- View details of transactions made with your BT card, your balance and the STAR loyalty points you’ve accumulated;
- Access to offers from BT and the bank’s partners under the STAR loyalty program;
- Split the bill, an option that lets you request money from people in your phone contacts who also use BT Pay. You can split the amount equally or request different amounts.
- Request money from multiple people by selecting them from your phone contacts.
- Send money to multiple people in your phone contacts.
The BT Pay app is free to download from Google Play Store or the App Store for Android and iOS smartphones, and requires adding your BT card(s) in digital form.
The BT Pay collection includes the app of the same name, the sticker, the watch and the contactless wristband.
