Banca Transilvania, the bank for enterprising people, supports 250,000 business customers. One third of the companies incorporated in 2017 work with BT.

BT works with large and mid-sized corporates, SMEs and micro-enterprises. Each year, BT processes around 100 billion lei in transactions and 30 billion lei in foreign exchange trades for mid-sized and large corporate clients. Approximately 15% of the financing granted to mid-sized and large companies in Romania has been analyzed and arranged by BT’s specialist departments by sector, product or credit structuring.

BT for SMEs:

• Banca Transilvania has the most diversified ecosystem supporting SMEs in Romania, through its approach, team, products and services. 3 out of 5 SMEs in Romania work with Banca Transilvania.
• This year, BT launched for SME clients the UNLIMITED in the BT Network facility: the current account package with unlimited transactions at Banca Transilvania means zero additional banking costs for online transactions and transactions via debit instruments carried out between BT SME customers. Over 100,000 customers benefit from the UNLIMITED subscription, one of the bank’s most appreciated features.

BT for small businesses:

• Over 3,000 small businesses financed in 2017: ≈20% of these were launched with the help of BT Mic, giving the bank’s customers a first step into entrepreneurship.
• The company is dedicated to financing small businesses with annual turnover of up to 1 million lei, regardless of their legal form.
• Total volume of loans granted through BT Mic: 165.7 million lei.
• 20% of the companies supported are up to one year old.
• Over 600 of the entrepreneurs BT Mic works with are under 30.

BT for Corporate:

• Banca Transilvania manages the accounts of over 10,000 large and mid-sized companies. The bank’s offering consists of service packages and tailored financing solutions.
• 16% of the funds of Romania’s large companies are managed by BT’s treasurers.
• BT Ultra Web, BT Ultra ERP, Online Issuance of Debit Instruments and digital signature are just a few of the electronic and automation solutions launched in the past year. These are intended to facilitate and streamline how these companies interact with the bank and their business partners.

Banca Transilvania also supports entrepreneurs through free access to education and specialist information via BT Club. This year, nearly 80 free courses and training sessions were organized in more than 60 locations. The over 10,000 participants had the opportunity to learn about financial literacy, start-ups, grants, sales management and eCommerce.
