The Banca Transilvania Financial Group was among the winners at the capital market awards, taking home 4 titles — out of 9 — at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) event, the Stock Exchange Year Opening 2017. The event took place on January 31 in Bucharest.

BT received the following awards:

• Banca Transilvania, the most traded stock on BVB’s main market in 2016 (turnover of 2.2 billion lei last year)
• Banca Transilvania, best communication and investor relations strategy in 2016 among listed companies (award decided by public vote)
• BT Capital Partners, best retail broker in 2016 (award decided by public vote)

In addition, Fluent in finante — the universal platform for investors — received the award for the best educational initiative on the capital market in 2016, and the Banca Transilvania Financial Group is part of this programme.

The Stock Exchange Year Opening reached its 4th edition this year. It marks, in ceremonial fashion, the start of the new investment year, and includes a gala at which the results achieved in the previous year by companies listed on the BVB are publicly recognised. With 400 participants, the event was the largest gathering of capital market professionals and participants in Southeastern Europe.
