Following the launch of NEOcont for individuals, Banca Transilvania is introducing another development in online banking, NEOcont for entrepreneurs. Opening a current account for companies can now be done 100% remotely, from any device. 

Entrepreneurs now have two online options for their first steps with BT:

• Open a current account;
• Open and manage the share capital account 100% online, by card — a service launched in 2019 and a market first — designed for those who want to start an SRL or SRL-D, to make the start-up stage as straightforward as possible.

Through NEOcont, legal entities have access to a package unique on the market, which includes free transfers between BT clients, as well as the following products and services:

• A bank account that can be used immediately for payments and collections in RON or foreign currency;
• The Contul Primul An Gratuit package, which means zero fees for a series of banking operations for entrepreneurs at the start of their journey, or the Nelimitat package for companies with more than one year in business. It includes unlimited transactions within the BT network, to which the client can add extra options depending on the number of transactions they make monthly in any currency. The packages include a range of core services an entrepreneur needs: business debit cards, online banking, account alerts, ATM cash withdrawals, etc.

The 7 steps to open an account with BT remotely:

• Prepare the following documents: identity card, the company’s Articles of Association and the Unique Registration Certificate.
• Go to the NEOcont for entrepreneurs page on BT’s website and follow the steps up to the one involving contacting the bank via video call;
• Upload to the site digital copies of the following documents: the ID card of the company’s legal representative, the company’s Articles of Association and the Unique Registration Certificate for the company for which the account is being opened online;
• Fill in some information about the entrepreneur and the company (phone, email, CUI – unique identification code, company name, CAEN code), take a selfie and upload the photo;
• Make a video call with the Customer Care NEO team by accessing the link received by email; please check beforehand that the webcam and microphone on your phone/laptop/computer are working;
• Choose a current account package and sign electronically;
• Afterwards, the entrepreneur receives from the bank, by email, the documents confirming the account opening, the IBAN and information about the products and services included in the NEOcont package.

Banca Transilvania has the largest SME coverage in Romania. 3 out of 5 SMEs bank with BT.

Through NEOcont for individuals, launched at the beginning of April this year, 2,500 accounts have been opened at BT.
