Banca Transilvania has received Euromoney Magazine’s award for “Best Bank in Romania”.

According to Euromoney, the bank received the award following the significant growth achieved since the start of the crisis, with a major step being the successful integration of Volksbank Romania. BT was represented at the event by Sergiu Mircea, Marketing and Communications Director.

Compiled annually by the prestigious British magazine Euromoney, the ranking is based on the previous year’s results and also takes into account institutions’ ability to adapt to market conditions and to the needs of customers in this segment.

Euromoney is a financial publication focused on banking and financial markets, recognizing the best-performing and leading financial institutions in more than 100 countries.

In 2015, the Banca Transilvania Financial Group recorded organic growth of over 10% in lending and over 19% in attracting deposits, in addition to the positive impact of the merger with Volksbank Romania.

At the end of 2015, BT’s assets were 32.6% higher than in 2014, at 47,240 million lei, and the number of customers increased by 14% to 2.15 million.
