Banca Transilvania received the Best Bank for SMEs in Central and Eastern Europe award at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence gala, organized by Euromoney in London, on July 13 this year.

The CEE’s best bank for SMEs 2022 award is international recognition of the results achieved in 2021 and reconfirms Banca Transilvania’s role as a leading supporter of Romanian entrepreneurs and the local business community. At the end of 2021, the SME loan portfolio stood at 19.2 billion lei. BT has over 300,000 SME clients.

For more than 50 years, Euromoney has been one of the leading publications in the financial industry, with a global presence. The Euromoney Awards for Excellence honor the top-performing banks in more than 100 countries. Banca Transilvania has previously been recognized by Euromoney, most recently in 2021, when it was named Best Bank in Romania.
